If you ask me how I’m doing, I’ll always give you the same response.
Hello lovely, I'm Emily
And it’s true. But for me, that’s not chalked full days or a house full of fancy things. It’s the ability to be fully present. To sip my coffee slowly, to plunge into the ice-cold ocean & reset my nervous system, to chase my children around our cabin. Soaking in the good stuff, staying grounded through the hard stuff, and finding beauty in every in-between moment.
With a little help from my camera, I learned that I can preserve even the smallest, purest moments of life. That I can allow others to be completely present in their moments, while I capture them from the outside looking in. And what’s more important to preserve than love?

Raised on a cattle ranch in the middle of Montana, I grew up a free-spirited, nature lovin’ cowgirl. My roots instilled in me a need for space - room to learn, grow, and explore.
I first picked up a camera while studying journalism in college. And while that particular path wasn’t right for me, it showed me that there is always love and light in this world, if you just look for it. And the camera? It showed me that I could capture that love.
With that idea close to my heart, I went out into the world. My travels showed me the power of human connection time and time again. They taught me to celebrate what makes us different, to be grateful for this incredible Earth we live on, and to be present in every moment...
Those same travels also brought me home. Only this time, not a home I was given, a home I created. Now our little cabin in the forest is where I spend my days, soaking in every moment of this beautiful life.

A life that I wasn’t always sure would bring me that forever kind of love. A wedding photographer that didn’t believe in marriage? Yikes. But just wait, this is where the story gets good.
At one point in my life, I thought that even if I found love, marriage wasn’t something I’d want. But then, I met someone who would change everything for me. He made me realize that our marriage could be whatever we wanted it to be. There are no rules to follow or expectations to meet. Instead, there’s just love. And a whole lot of it. My husband, my son, and this life we are building together - it’s the best thing.
Now, every wedding I photograph reminds me how insanely beautiful marriage can be. That in this big, beautiful world we can find the person whose soul matches our own. How exciting is that? And the fact that I get to preserve your love in photographs you can keep forever? I’m living the dream.

Your photos should capture more than just what moments looked like.
My approach to photography has always been intuitive, guided by a gut instinct of when to click the shutter or noticing a feeling as it arises. For years, I saw that as a skill, just part of my creative eye. But when I began exploring energy work (first as a client, then as a student, and eventually as a practitioner), I realized it was something deeper.
That same awareness has naturally found its way into my photography. Whether we’re celebrating your elopement in Alaska or documenting your family in your favorite place, my goal is always the same: to help you feel seen, beautiful, and wholly yourself.
